Cavity Wax with Zinc

Designed for long-term corrosion protection of vehicle body cavities (rocker panels, door shells, pillars, frame rails, floor pan, trunk, etc.). Can be used for temporary corrosion protection of the vehicle’s exterior surfaces (underbody, rocker panels, wheel wells, etc.) and for preserving vehicles and metal products for long-term storage and transportation.
DONEWELL® DR-9648 Cavity Wax with Zinc resists water and the salt solutions used on roads. Fine zinc flakes give treated surfaces additional electrochemical protection and significantly reduce the risk of underfilm corrosion. When applied correctly, the product keeps its protective properties for the entire service life of the vehicle.
The product is silver in color. The nozzle at the end of the extension tube produces a 360° spray pattern that evenly covers all surfaces of the body cavities.
Application
- Before treatment, remove the body plugs and clean out the drain holes.
- Zinc is most effective on a surface that is completely free of rust, degreased and dry. Nevertheless, the rust preventive can be applied to rusty and damp surfaces and to old anti-corrosion coatings.
- Protect surfaces that are not to be treated from overspray.
- For best results, apply the product at an ambient temperature of at least +10°C.
- Shake the can vigorously for 2–3 minutes before use.
- Apply the rust preventive in 2–3 coats, allowing 5–10 minutes to dry between coats.
- To remove it from paintwork, we recommend KERRY Tar Spot Remover.
- Let the product dry for 24 hours before driving the vehicle.
